About BM Cabinetry
BM Cabinetry is a Toronto-based custom cabinetry company specializing in kitchen cabinets, custom closets, vanities, pantries, laundry rooms, and more. We are passionate about quality craftsmanship and are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to learn the trade and grow with our team.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside skilled cabinet makers to construct and assemble custom cabinets from raw materials
- Learn and apply various cabinet and closet making techniques to ensure high-quality and precise craftsmanship
- Assist in interpreting blueprints, specifications, and design plans for cabinet projects
- Gain proficiency in the safe and effective use of woodworking tools and machinery
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and client expectations
- Participate in on-site cabinet installations, ensuring accurate fit and proper functionality
- Develop an understanding of different wood types, finishes, and hardware used in cabinet making
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards
Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience in cabinetry is required
- Passion for woodworking and a strong desire to pursue a career in cabinet making
- Basic knowledge of woodworking tools and equipment is a plus
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a dynamic work environment
- Valid driver's licence is required for on-site installation work
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday
- Physical dexterity and ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials
- Frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling required
