We are seeking a motivated and experienced Maintenance Lead to work alongside our existing Maintenance Lead in supporting the daily operations of our hotel. This position is ideal for a hands-on individual who enjoys a variety of responsibilities and takes pride in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and team members.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Lead will assist with all aspects of hotel and property maintenance, including guest room repairs, preventative maintenance, pool operations, and responding to maintenance-related concerns. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead by example while working collaboratively with other departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel.
- Complete preventative maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Monitor and maintain hotel pool and hot tub systems, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and mechanical issues.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and service concerns.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
- Assist with property improvement projects and renovations.
- Support and guide maintenance team members while fostering a positive team environment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
- Ensure all safety procedures and company standards are followed.
- Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and management teams to provide exceptional guest experiences.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel, commercial, or building maintenance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Experience maintaining pools and hot tubs is an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Leadership experience or the ability to mentor and support team members.
- Must be available for a combination of day, evening, and on-call shifts.
- Valid driver's license considered an asset.
