Freight Forwarding / Logistics Experience Required
Role Overview
Hitek Logistic is looking for a proactive, outgoing, client-focused Business Development & Client Success Representative to support, retain, and grow our existing client base.
This role is focused on:
- Staying close to existing accounts
- Engaging every active client monthly
- Building strong client relationships
- Supporting and protecting service levels
- Identifying growth opportunities
- Acting as a bridge between clients, sales and operations
This is not an entry-level customer service role. We are looking for someone from the freight forwarding, transportation, or logistics space who can confidently speak with clients about their business, their freight, and where Hitek can bring more value.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage every active client at least once per month through meaningful calls, emails, meetings, or visits
- Maintain strong relationships with key contacts and build connections beyond one person within each account
- Understand client shipping needs, pain points, service expectations, lanes, and growth potential
- Jump on client calls to gather feedback, resolve concerns, and identify opportunities
- Monitor client satisfaction and work with operations to protect service levels
- Identify opportunities to grow accounts through additional lanes, services, modes, locations, or shipment types
- Have value-based conversations around service, cost, routing, carrier performance, visibility, and process improvement
- Support account reviews, client check-ins, service discussions, and follow-up actions
- Help uncover and address service concerns before they escalate
- Support onboarding of new opportunities and ensure expectations are clearly handed off internally
- Document client activity, follow-ups, opportunities, service concerns, and next steps in HubSpot or another CRM
- Work through a dialer or structured outreach process to ensure consistent client engagement
- Communicate client feedback, opportunities, and service risks clearly to internal teams
What We’re Looking For
- Direct experience in freight forwarding, transportation logistics, courier, LTL, FTL, air, ocean, warehousing, or supply chain
- Strong understanding of how freight moves and how logistics decisions impact the client
- Ability to speak confidently about service levels, costs, timelines, lanes, routing, carriers, visibility, and solutions
- Excellent communication skills — professional, clear, pleasant, and engaging
- Outgoing personality with the ability to build trust quickly
- Comfortable making calls, joining client meetings, conducting check-ins, and visiting clients when needed
- Able to have value-based conversations, not just transactional follow-ups
- Commercially aware, operationally curious, and able to identify growth opportunities
- Strong follow-through, organization, and attention to detail
- Proactive, responsive, accountable, and client-focused
Technology & Process
- Experience with HubSpot or another CRM is a strong asset
- Comfortable documenting client interactions, follow-ups, opportunities, service concerns, and next steps
- Experience working through a dialer or structured calling process is an asset
- Able to manage outreach activity, next steps, and client follow-up consistently
- Comfortable using systems and data to support client conversations and internal visibility
- Disciplined in keeping client records, activity, and opportunity notes current

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
