ABONG Inc. designs and manufactures high-quality educational wooden kits, mechanical models, and board games right here in Guelph. We proudly design and manufacture our products in Canada using precision laser-cut wood components.
We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to join our small team on a part-time basis. This position is ideal for a college or university student, a retiree, or anyone looking for flexible part-time work.
What You'll Do
- Operate three computer-controlled laser cutting machines (full training provided)
- Remove finished parts and perform basic quality checks
- Package products for shipment
- Organize inventory and replenish materials
- Keep the production area clean, safe, and organized
- Assist with other light production and warehouse tasks as required
What We're Looking For
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and stay productive
- Comfortable using basic computer software
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- No manufacturing experience is necessary. We'll provide all the training you need.
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand and move around the workshop for extended periods
- Able to safely lift and carry boxes weighing up to 45 lbs
- Comfortable performing repetitive production and packaging tasks
Hours
- 10–15 hours per week
- Daytime shifts on weekdays and/or weekends
- Flexible scheduling with a consistent weekly schedule whenever possible
- Additional hours may occasionally be available during busy periods
