Position Overview:
The Business Development role at Infinity Core Business Solutions focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with prospective clients, and working closely with our technical team to deliver exceptional consulting services across our three core service lines: SRED, Grants, and Accounting & Bookkeeping Services. The key responsibilities of this role are to have a deep understanding of the SRED tax incentive and government funding landscape, be able to engage C-suite executives, and create strategies to grow the business across all service areas.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Client Acquisition:
- Identify and qualify potential clients by researching various industries with SRED eligibility, grant funding potential, or accounting & bookkeeping needs.
- Prospect and initiate outbound business development efforts through calls, emails, and networking events.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline for new business opportunities.
- Conference & Travel Strategy
- Travel monthly to nearby centres to further prospecting and lead generation
- Attending 1-2 Conferences per quarter
Establishing Regional Presence:
- Book lunch and coffee meetings with prospective clients, referral partners, and local business leaders to build relationships in regional markets.
- Attend local events, including chamber of commerce functions, business association meetings, and community gatherings, to raise brand visibility.
- Identify sponsorship, speaking, and networking opportunities at local business events to position Infinity Core Business Solutions within the community.
- Maintain a consistent presence in key regional markets through recurring visits and ongoing follow-up with local contacts.
Relationship Building:
- Develop and nurture relationships with decision-makers in target industries, including finance, technology, engineering, and manufacturing.
- Present Infinity Core Business Solutions’ services to potential clients and educate them on the benefits of SRED tax incentives, grant funding opportunities, and outsourced accounting & bookkeeping services.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new business and provide exceptional customer service.
Sales Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to refine sales strategies, develop effective pitches, and create sales collateral.
- Track industry trends and stay updated on changes in government policies related to R&D tax credits, grant funding programs, and accounting standards to ensure services are aligned with client needs.
- Drive awareness and position Infinity Core Business Solutions as a thought leader in the SRED, grants, and accounting & bookkeeping industries.
Proposal & Contract Management:
- Work with the technical team to prepare proposals, cost estimates, and presentations tailored to prospective clients.
- Negotiate terms and close contracts to achieve revenue goals.
- Assist clients in understanding the SRED and grant application processes and the necessary documentation.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Analyze competitor offerings, market trends, and potential partnership opportunities to strengthen Infinity Core Business Solutions’ competitive edge.
- Regularly gather feedback from clients to improve services and refine sales strategies.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and sales activities in Monday.com on and weekly basis
- Provide regular updates on sales activities, opportunities, and progress toward revenue targets.
- Report on key performance metrics and contribute to strategic planning.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 + years of business development experience in SRED and Grants, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment.
- Knowledge or experience with SRED, R&D tax credits, government funding and grant programs, or accounting & bookkeeping services is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in sales and client acquisition, including building and managing client relationships.
Skills:
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with senior executives and decision-makers.
- Excellent negotiation, closing, and contract management abilities.
- Ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
