Scholar's Studio is an enrichment learning program designed to help children develop strong English language skills through inquiry-based learning, creativity, discussion, and hands-on activities. We believe learning should be engaging, meaningful, and inspire curiosity.
We are looking for enthusiastic instructors who are passionate about education and committed to creating exceptional learning experiences for children.
What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging English language enrichment classes for elementary-aged students.
- Facilitate inquiry-driven learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration.
- Lead hands-on activities, discussions, projects, and interactive lessons.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Build strong relationships with students and families.
- Adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Support students in developing confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has a genuine passion for working with children.
- Believes that student engagement and well-being come first.
- Brings energy, creativity, and enthusiasm into the classroom.
- Enjoys using hands-on, interactive teaching methods rather than traditional lecture-style instruction.
- Is reliable, professional, and organized.
- Has strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Can inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, or leading programs for children.
- Background in Education, English, Child & Youth Studies, Humanities, or a related field is an asset.
- OCT certification is welcome but not required.
- Experience with inquiry-based, project-based, or experiential learning is considered an asset.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one).

Schedule
- Weekend availability required (Saturday and/or Sunday).
- Part-time hours with potential for additional opportunities as the program grows.
