Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and mechanical knowledge
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols during all repair procedures
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance
- Assist with the installation of aftermarket parts or accessories when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and service recommendations
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience in an automotive setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive repair procedures
- Experience with welding, schematics reading, assembly, and maintenance tasks
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts handling
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
- Knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred
