Position Overview and Requirements:
The Program Assistant works in collaboration with the educators to support the daily functioning of the group and the development of children in a safe, caring, and stimulating environment. They support children during routines and daily activities and may provide individualized support to a child with special needs to promote inclusion and participation within the group.
- Hold a valid CPR and First Aid certification;
- Valid and negative criminal record check – vulnerable sector (within 6 months);
- Must be 18 years or older;
- Communication and interpersonal skills;
- Patience, empathy and understanding of children’s needs;
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment;
- Work in cooperation within a strong team environment.
Language Requirements:
Excellent proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in both French and English.
Compensation:
The salary, based on 40 hours per week, is set between $22.23/hour and $25.02/hour and includes a pension plan, and free access to the Sports Dome Training Centre.
