Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Brazer / Welder to join our dynamic heat pump manufacturing team.
Responsibilities
- Braze refrigeration units from 1 – 81 tons in size with components including compressors, accumulators, expansion valves, filter driers, etc.
- Read mechanical drawings and follow standard procedures outlined in work instruction documents
- Cut, clean and debur pipes for brazing
- Install and braze copper pipes to brass or stainless-steel fittings
- Install non-brazed Victaulic and bolted flange fittings
- Meet quality compliance requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment with Safety First in mind
- Flexibility to work overtime on occasional evenings and weekends.
- Flexible to be re-assigned to other production lines as business requires
- Work in a sometimes non-climate-controlled environment
- Pressure testing and leak detection
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years brazing experience
- Intermediate level brazing ability
- Sufficient working knowledge to pass brazing certification
- Experience brazing brass, stainless steel, copper pipe (5/32” to 3.0 “OD).
- Able to braze copper to copper using 5% silver solder
- Able to braze copper pipes to stainless steel using 45% silver solder with flux
- Able to use hand, motorized, and pneumatic tools
- Able to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Able to stand, reach, bend, stoop and lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Able to perform duties as required under minimal supervision
- Basic computer skills, MS Office, Excel in particular
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
