The Role
Senior Staff Accountants would primarily prepare files as well as provide leadership and guidance to other staff.
Our firm is intimate with our internal relationships as well as with clients. Internally we are small enough that everyone knows each other despite having two locations, and it's common to have direct access and regular contact with the partners. With our clients, we pride ourselves on our level of service and professionalism. We want to ensure clients feel appreciated and heard, and we aim to respond regularly and inform them if we need to research topics, etc. Partners regularly delegate clients where Seniors/Managers are the partners' alternative contacts with those clients and help facilitate requests, draft meetings, and attend them.

- This is a regular full-time position based on 40 hours of work per week, (Monday-Friday) with extended hours during busy season

You will
You will have the opportunity to work on corporate, individual, and estate clients in various industries and at varying levels of complexity, offering a robust professional experience.
You will have the opportunity to work on engagements that would range from Compilations, Reviews, Audits, personal/corporate/trust tax returns as well as special consulting engagements. These will be in various industries and at varying levels of complexity, offering a robust professional experience that will allow you to grow as a professional.

The Candidate
Must-haves
- Completion of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- Minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Strong technical skills in accounting, auditing, and tax compliance
- Proficient with CaseWare/Caseview, Jazzit, Excel
- Proficient with TaxPrep
- Advanced Canadian tax knowledge – personal, corporate, excise, and/or Advanced knowledge on Canadian CAAPs - ASPE and ASNPO
- Ability to mentor, lead, and develop junior staff
- Excellent Communication skills.
