As a Finishing Foreman at Potvin Construction, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality projects on time by leading, motivating, and mentoring construction crews and subcontractors in our finishing division. This position requires strong leadership, a thorough understanding of finishing and construction processes, and the ability to juggle competing demands with professionalism and efficiency.
Primary responsibilities:
· Lead, coordinate, and supervise employees and subcontractors on site
· Ensure the highest standards of quality and installation are met
· Support project planning and provide input on project management activities
· Participate in safety meetings, and lead or assist in incident investigations and reviews
· Assist the Project Coordinator in reviewing and updating construction schedules
· Ensure all team members receive appropriate training and development
· Attend weekly and quarterly production meetings
Requirements:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, preferably in finishing or carpentry
· Proven experience supervising teams in a construction environment
· Bilingual (English/French) and asset
· Strong background in carpentry and siding installation
· Exceptional organizational and time management skills
· Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
· Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities
· Positive, professional, and customer-oriented attitude
· Self-motivated, reliable, and hard-working with a team-first mindset
