Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Indian cuisine Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food preparation and cooking expertise, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a dynamic restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and teamwork
- Manage food handling procedures to comply with safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Oversee food inventory, ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels
- Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before serving to guests
- Lead kitchen operations during service hours, maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Train new staff members on food preparation, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus and improve culinary offerings
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, leadership, and hospitality within the team
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service setting
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing kitchen teams and restaurant operations
- Strong knowledge of the food industry, hospitality standards, and restaurant management principles
- Experience with food handling regulations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Prior restaurant experience with a focus on serving diverse customer needs is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
