Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused team members to join our team at Denny's, Starbucks, and Fen's Market C-Store. The ideal candidates will provide excellent service in a fast-paced food and beverage environment, ensuring a positive experience for all customers. This role involves food preparation, cashiering, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Previous experience in the food industry, especially with POS systems like Micros POS, is a plus. Candidates should demonstrate strong time management skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a passion for the food service industry.
Responsibilities
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established standards
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service to ensure a positive dining or shopping experience
- Assist in food handling and preparation tasks as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Follow all food safety protocols and proper hygiene practices
- Restock supplies and ensure the overall cleanliness of the store or restaurant area
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, barista work, serving, or cashiering is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to handle cash handling accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic understanding of food preparation and food industry operations
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
