Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Company Accountant (CPA) to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong expertise in accounting software and financial services to contribute to the company's growth and success.
Duties
- Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks accounting software.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses including account analysis and budgeting.
- Conduct auditing procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee payroll processing and related tax filings in accordance with applicable laws.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Support corporate finance activities including cash flow management, financial planning, and forecasting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline bookkeeping processes and improve overall financial operations.
Qualifications
- CPA certification is required, with a strong background in accounting principles and practices.
- Experience working with e-commerce platforms and associated accounting functions.
- Experience working with international jurisdictions with respect to collection and remittence of United States sales tax, and VAT.
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Experience in corporate finance, budgeting, auditing, and financial services is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping, payroll management, and account reconciliation processes.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and present financial insights clearly.
