Guitar or Bass Instructor
Overview:
As part of the School of Rock worldwide network, School of Rock enriches lives through performance-based music education. A School of Rock part-time Instructor teaches students music from AC/DC to Zappa. They create a safe and cool environment for students to achieve their musical and creative potential and ensure that each School of Rock student has an exceptional musical journey.
Our revolutionary music education system has been awarded multiple global patents, making the School of Rock Method available nowhere else. The School of Rock Method builds musical proficiency through our proprietary Method App, SongFirst approach, and performance based music curriculum.
Single instrument instructors or multi-instrumentalists are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging music lessons for students of all ages and skill levels
- Provide individual and group instruction in areas such as music theory, instrument techniques, and performance skills implementing the School of Rock Method
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity
- Organize and oversee music rehearsals and performances
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to maximize the student's musical experience
- Assess student progress, provide positive constructive feedback, and track their development over time
Skills:
- Proficiency in teaching students instrument technique and music theory
- Ability to educate and inspire students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
- Passion for working with children and creating engaging learning experiences
- Classroom management skills to effectively engage students in the learning process
