Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Child Care Provider to provide attentive care and supervision for my son in a private household. The ideal candidate is patient, responsible, and dedicated to supporting my child's safety, well-being, and development. This role involves assisting with daily routines, providing nurturing care, and creating a safe and stimulating environment that encourages learning, growth, and positive behavior.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for my son in our residence.
- Bathe, dress, and feed
- Prepare formulas and change diapers
- Assist with daily routines, including grooming, hygiene, and bedtime preparation.
- Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks
- Organize and participate in age-appropriate educational, recreational, and creative activities.
- Help with homework and support with learning and development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
- Observe and monitor behavior, health, and emotional well-being, and communicate updates to us.
- Accompany to and from school, appointments, or outdoor activities when required.
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to my child, including tidying play areas, child's laundry, and kitchen clean-up after meals.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience caring for children in a home or childcare setting is an asset.
- Patient, responsible, and attentive with a genuine interest in child development.
- Knowledge of child safety, supervision, and basic caregiving practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children and parents.
- Ability to maintain a structured, nurturing, and supportive home environment.
- Training or background in caregiving or early childhood education is an asset.
- Ability to speak a second or foreign language is preferred and considered an asset.
Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
