The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Class 1 or Class 3 Truck Driver & Maintenance Support Person to join our team in Wabush, NL. You’ll play a key role in the delivery, setup and maintenance of modular buildings and office trailers that serve clients across various sectors. While most work is based in Newfoundland and Labrador, occasional travel to other Maritime provinces may be required.
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate and drive trucks to transport and deliver office trailers and modular buildings
- Assist with the set-up, installation, and demobilization of units at various sites, including physically demanding tasks such as securing and leveling units on jack stands, and installing aluminum stairs.
- Perform routine maintenance on trucks to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Support with trailer maintenance by performing general repairs, from cosmetic fixes such as painting, and scrubbing and waxing the floors, to more involved carpentry work, like adding or removing interior walls
- Handle minor plumbing or electrical tasks to ensure everything functions as it should
- Conducting quality checks to ensure every trailer meets our high standards before it heads back out on rent
What You Bring
- A valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
- 3–5 years of professional driving experience, ideally with oversize or specialty loads
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance tasks
- Building maintenance and/or carpentry experience
- Bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to juggle tasks and manage time effectively
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to out-of-province job sites
