Shift: Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM
Pay: $22–$28 per hour (based on experience)
We are currently seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our client in Pickering, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating manual machining equipment and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual milling machines, lathes, drill presses, and other shop equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Set up machines and perform precision machining operations
- Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards
- Perform basic machine maintenance and keep the work area organized
- Work safely and efficiently to meet production deadlines
Qualifications
- Experience operating manual milling machines, lathes, drill machines, and related equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong understanding of machining practices and measuring techniques
- Must have own tools and measuring gauges
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and able to work afternoon shifts
