Position: Machine Operator Trainee

Shift: Day Shift, Monday to Friday
Compensation: Starting at $20.00/hour with wage progression up to $27.00/hour within approximately 2 years
Summary
Our client is seeking a Machine Operator Trainee to join their manufacturing team. Through hands-on training and mentorship, the successful candidate will develop expertise on specialized production machinery with a clear path for advancement and increased earnings.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment to meet quality and production targets
- Perform machine adjustments, changeovers, and minor troubleshooting as required
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are maintained
- Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to maximize equipment efficiency
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development programs
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating and setting up manufacturing equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new processes
- Experience performing machine changeovers and basic troubleshooting
- Ability to read work instructions and follow production specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable work ethic and interest in long-term career growth
- Experience in manufacturing, packaging, converting, printing, food production, or similar industrial environments is considered an asset
