Join Our Team
Classic Fireplace & BBQ Store is looking for an organized, customer-focused Service Coordinator to join our Service Department full-time at our Ajax warehouse.
This role is the hub of our service operation. You'll work closely with customers, technicians, and our warehouse team to ensure service appointments run smoothly from the initial phone call through to job completion.
Our business is seasonal, with fireplaces taking priority during the fall and winter and BBQs during the spring and summer. Every day brings new challenges, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, multitasking, and keeping things organized.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and optimize daily technician schedules.
- Answer customer calls and emails while providing outstanding customer service.
- Schedule service appointments and communicate updates with customers.
- Coordinate parts and ensure technicians are prepared for upcoming jobs.
- Process customer payments and maintain accurate service records.
- Work with our team to continually improve processes and customer experience.
- Assist with general administrative duties that support the Service Department.
What Success Looks Like
After your first few months, you'll be confidently managing technician schedules, communicating effectively with customers, and helping keep our service department running efficiently.
You'll enjoy solving scheduling puzzles, balancing changing priorities, and finding solutions when unexpected situations arise. Whether it's rerouting a technician, coordinating parts, or updating a customer, you'll take ownership and help ensure every service call is a success.

- Friendly, professional, and confident communicating by phone and email.
- Calm under pressure and adaptable when schedules change.
- Comfortable learning new technology and software.
- A proactive problem solver who enjoys improving processes.
- Dependable, positive, and enjoys working as part of a team.
Experience in customer service, scheduling, dispatching, administration, or the home service industry is an asset but not required. We're happy to train the right person with the right attitude.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and ERP or scheduling software (such as Striven) is beneficial.
