POSITION TITLE:
Communications and Fund Development Lead
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Communications and Fund Development Lead is responsible for creating exceptional communication strategies, both internally and externally, to tell the innovative story of the St. Clair O’Connor Community (SCOC) as an intergenerational community dedicated to creating a safe and caring environment for gracefully aging seniors amidst families, both younger and older, in a nurturing and encouraging congregated setting. The Lead is responsible for developing effective communication processes, working with media, writing grants, making presentations, creating publication materials, supporting the website, editing newsletters, and publishing relevant articles in health care and human services journals. Acting on behalf of both the St Clair O’Connor Community Inc and the St. Clair O’Connor Foundation, the objective is to develop and implement an integrated communications plan that supports achieving SCOC’s strategic vision and fund development revenue goals.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to the CEO
Qualifications included but are not limited to:
- Post-secondary degree in literature, communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or other related equivalents will be considered.
- Previous project management or administrative experience, preferably related to the role of communication in fund development.
- Previous experience in communications, publishing and public relations are important
- Ability to maintain good interpersonal relations.
- Have knowledge of Eden Alternative Philosophy of Care
