Job Summary:
We are seeking a Journeyman Pipefitter to join our team. The Pipefitter will be responsible for installing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing piping systems used for heating, cooling, water, gas, and other industrial or mechanical systems. The ideal candidate has experience reading blueprints, working with various piping materials, and maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety. This position will be comprised of a day shift and a night shift. This job will run from June 22nd- July 14th.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems according to specifications and drawings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine pipe layouts and installation requirements.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand and power tools.
- Assemble and install pipe systems including valves, supports, brackets, and fittings.
- Perform welding, soldering, or brazing as required to connect piping systems.
- Inspect piping systems for leaks, pressure issues, and proper alignment.
- Conduct system testing, including pressure and leak tests.
- Repair or replace damaged pipes, valves, and components.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety procedures.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure project completion on schedule.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Pipefitter Certification required.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of piping materials, fittings, valves, and joining techniques.
- Experience with welding, cutting, and pipe fabrication techniques is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on job site needs.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
- Prolonged standing, kneeling, and climbing may be required.
Preferred Skills
- Welding certification or experience.
- Knowledge of industrial piping systems and codes.
- Experience working in construction, fabrication, or industrial environments.
Compensation:
- Pay: $47/hr - $56/hr
- Travel: $500/round trip
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Pay: $47.00-$56.00 per hour
