The Quality Inspector/Auditor is responsible for ensuring that all glass fabrication processes and finished products meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry regulations. This role involves inspecting raw materials, monitoring production processes, conducting audits, documenting quality issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-process inspections throughout cutting, edging, drilling, tempering, laminating, insulating, and other fabrication operations.
- Read and interpret drawings, procedures, instructions and standards to ensure compliance with the product.
- Conduct final inspections of finished products before shipment.
- Perform routine daily process audits to verify adherence to manufacturing procedure and quality standards.
- Record inspection results and maintain quality standards.
- Prepare nonconformance reports and communicate findings to related parties
- Participating in root cause analysis and corrective action activities
- Collaborate with production teams to reduce defects and improve process capability
- Ensure the QA CAPM has met the daily target by established date.
- Reporting on issues that require further / expedited assistance immediately.
- Daily administration tasks and reporting.
- Actively walking the shop floor to assess finished goods and assist in any areas required.
- Other duties as assigned
Experience
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to solve problems and assist in determining root causes.
- Previous experience is an asset.
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Strong Computer Skills (Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams).
- Flexibility to be available for different shift timings.
- Fenevision Experience is considered an asset and can/will be trained.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing and production environment
- Frequent standing, walking, and inspection of products throughout the facility
- Ability to lift and handle glass samples and inspection equipment as required.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with company safety policies.
