We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Industrial Mover/ Construction Rigger to join our team. They will be responsible for transporting goods and heavy equipment to various locations and working alongside the crew to offload, place and install all customer goods.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Work alongside rigging crew to offload and place equipment using various specialized tools and equipment.

Load/unload trailers, tie-down loads, tarp load and rigging.

Follow safe work procedures to assist with lifting, lowering, and moving materials and loads.

Exercise good driving manners and taking precautionary measures during inclement weather conditions.

Safely deliver loads of equipment, including oversize, to our worksites.

Ensure proper documentation maintained.

Always maintain good working relations with customers through cooperative attitude.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum 1 year of proven industrial rigging experience moving heavy and oversized loads.

Demonstrated experience operating heavy haul trucks. • Experience with specialized moving systems such as SPMTs, jack-and-slide systems, gantries, cranes, and forklifts is preferred.

Valid Class 1 BC Driver’s License with a clean and recent driver’s abstract.

Valid Class 3 BC Driver’s License is an asset.

Strong understanding of safe rigging practices, load securement, and working around heavy equipment.

Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing the hands-on demands of industrial moving work.

Comfortable working in active construction and industrial environments, including tight or sensitive spaces.

Ability to follow SOPs, site-specific safety requirements, and detailed instructions.

Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused with a professional attitude.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a rigging crew.

Flexible availability, including the ability to work out of town when required.

Willingness to obtain or renew relevant tickets/certifications (e.g., rigging, forklift, crane).

Must have reliable transportation to get to and from sites/yard.
Compensation:
This is a Unionized position with IUOE 115. This position will earn Union wages and will have access to extended Union healthcare and benefits, a Union-sponsored pension plan, and additional training through the Training Plan. Unionized wage range for this position is $27.74 to $35.24 per hour (based on candidate’s experience), plus vacation/statutory holiday pay.
