Job Overview
Gourmet Girl Cafe and Catering Ltd is seeking a full-time Chef – Café Operations to lead daily kitchen operations in our established café. This role is responsible for food production, menu development, kitchen coordination, and maintaining consistent quality and safety standards.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen environment is required. Additional experience and culinary leadership skills are considered an asset.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
- Experience supervising or coordinating kitchen staff
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Ability to manage food production systems and maintain quality control
- Experience with inventory management and food cost control
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced service environment
- Completion of formal culinary training, chef certification, or equivalent professional experience
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily café kitchen operations and service flow
- Develop and maintain menu items and standardized recipes
- Supervise kitchen staff during preparation and service
- Ensure consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation
- Monitor inventory and ordering systems
- Maintain compliance with food safety and workplace health standards
- Maintain accurate production and inventory records
