At ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Brampton, we manufacture welded tubes using a variety of materials and finishes including low carbon and higher strength grades with different coatings such as galvanized, or zinc nickel. Our end finish capabilities are used in many industries such as in automotive, furniture, construction, distribution markets and elsewhere. We supply welded tubes of variety of shapes: round, square, rectangular, and elliptical.
We are currently seeking a dependable Machine Operator for our Brampton Facility.
Position: Butt Welder (Crane Experience an Asset)
Location: Queen Street & McLaughlin
Various Shifts: Midnights: Sunday 11pm - Friday 7am
Responsibilities and Duties
- Operation, changeover, & setup of equipment while maintaining safety and quality requirements
- Perform physical tasks associated with product movement, including overhead cranes, lift trucks and some manual material movement
- Utilize your mechanical ability to assist with troubleshooting equipment stoppages and breakdowns
- Be a supportive team player to meet safety, quality, production and world class manufacturing requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Crane or Forklift certification is an asset
- Steel manufacturing experience an asset
- Mechanical aptitude and abilities
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kgs)
- Flexibility to work different shifts considered an asset
