Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Window Cleaner to join our facilities maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of windows across various commercial and residential properties. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The Window Cleaner will utilize Ladders, hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment to ensure all windows are spotless, safe, and well-maintained. Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in facilities maintenance while contributing to the overall cleanliness and professionalism of our clients' properties.
Responsibilities
- Clean windows on both interior and exterior surfaces using appropriate hand tools, squeegees, and power tools
- Utilize facilities maintenance techniques to ensure all glass surfaces are streak-free and thoroughly cleaned
- Operate cleaning equipment safely, including power washers or other specialized tools as needed
- Ability to climb and move ladders up to 32 feet (lift up to 40lbs) and able to clean eavestroughs
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to access high or hard-to-reach windows safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and supplies
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning requirements and address any concerns
- Follow safety protocols at all times during window cleaning operations
- Assist with general custodial tasks or minor facilities maintenance as required
Experience
- Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when necessary
- Experience in facilities maintenance or custodial services is a plus but not required
