NV Landscaping Services Ltd., located at 1845 Berkley Rd, North Vancouver, BC, is a locally owned landscaping company. We provide a wide range of landscaping services. We make sure we treat every customer's home as if it were our own by providing quality work. Our business is growing, and we are looking to hire a Landscaping Supervisor to join our team and work with a small, hands-on crew.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. We are a growing landscaping business offering the opportunity to take on a leadership role within a supportive, team-oriented setting. Location of work will be across Lower Mainland depending on the specific project’s location. The salary offered is $35.00 - $40.00 per hour.
Duties include:
- Oversee daily landscaping operations, including scheduling jobs, assigning tasks, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and to client expectations
- Supervise and support a small crew of landscapers and labourer, providing guidance, training, and on-the-job direction
- Execute landscaping work as needed
- Inspect job sites before, during, and after work to ensure quality standards and safety practices are met
- Estimate labour, materials, and time required for projects
- Coordinate the use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles, ensuring everything is in good working condition
- Order or pick up supplies such as plants, soil, mulch, and fertilizers when required
- Train new or junior employees on proper landscaping techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures
- Enforce workplace safety standards, including proper handling of tools, lifting techniques, and use of protective equipment
- Adjust work plans based on weather conditions, site challenges, or changing client needs
- Keep records of hours worked, materials used, and job progress for internal tracking or invoicing for reporting purposes
Education and Training Required:
- 3 + years of landscaping experience, with at least 1 year of leadership or foreman experience
- Minimum high school education
- Proven hands-on experience performing tasks like mowing, planting, pruning, and seasonal clean-ups
- Demonstrated progression into a lead hand or supervisory role
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Physical ability to perform manual labour and work outdoors in varying weather
- Good communication skills (English) for dealing with both crew members and clients
- Organizational skills (scheduling, tracking materials, reporting)
