Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving beverages and food items, and handling transactions accurately. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in food service or the food industry, excellent time management skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Clover POS, to process customer transactions efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and ensure timely service
- Assist with food preparation and food safety procedures to maintain high quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while providing excellent customer service
- Ensure proper food handling practices are followed at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in food service is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Clover POS, is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor
