Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Tri-axle dump truck driver to join our team on a temporary basis. This role involves operating dump trucks with triaxle trailers to transport materials safely and efficiently across various job sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, heavy equipment operation, and vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Operate tri-axle dump trucks to deliver materials to construction sites, quarries, or other designated locations.
- Ensure all loads are secured properly before transportation.
- Perform routine inspections of the truck and related equipment, including checking fluid levels and tire conditions.
- Maintain accurate logs of loads, locations and hours
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe operation at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel regarding schedules, delays, or issues during transportation.
- Conduct minor repairs or report maintenance needs to ensure the vehicle remains in optimal condition.
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class 1 with clean abstract
- Prior experience operating tri-axle dump trucks or similar heavy equipment preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.
