This is a full-time role summer job, and could continue fulltime or transition to part -time in the fall. This should line up with someone currently in school but looking to work for the summer. We can also provide inhouse training as needed. We are looking to hire immediately which could be a seasoned professional bartender or someone just starting out, with a passion for the industry.
We are looking for someone outgoing and charismatic as there are many other additional opportunities in a 'sales' and 'marketing' capacity ; outside of our tasting room. We do consumer samplings and tastings to showcase our spirits at trade events, other restaurants, golf tournaments, NLC Stores, etcs... You will become intimate with the spirits we distill in-house, and all activities of a fully in-house local craft distillery such as developing new brands, bottling, labelling, packaging etc...
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Proficient in bartending and serving techniques
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS
- Background in the food industry with restaurant experience
- Excellent time management and basic math skills
- Ability to handle cash and maintain accurate financial records
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages while adhering to food safety standards.
- Operate the POS system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Collaborate with team members to manage event operations and maintain a smooth workflow.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Demonstrate time management skills to handle peak service periods effectively.
