Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented PART-TIME Pharmacy Assistant, to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient service within a hospital or clinical setting.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and ensuring proper storage of pharmaceuticals.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns regarding medications and health products.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist in the documentation of medication administration.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication safety.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including safety protocols and quality assurance measures.
- Support the pharmacy team in daily operations, including cleaning and organizing workspaces.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and medication administration processes is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
