Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations in union enviorment. The ideal candidate will possess experince in the automotive parts manufacturing industry, strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, and expertise in ERP systems such as SAP. This role is integral to ensuring safety, production efficiency and quality standard at met in a fast-paced unionized manufacturing environment.
Duties
- Lead at team of shift supervisors and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards
- Utilize SAP and other ERP systems to plan, monitor, and optimize manufacturing workflows
- Implement process improvements using lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Oversee assembly operations, ensuring proper workflow and resource allocation
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to manage inventory levels and material flow using MRP systems
- Conduct regular and effective team meetings with hourly and salary emplyees on Safety, Quality, and Process related topics.
- Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and participate in audits
- Provide mentorship and training to production supervisors to foster a culture of excellence
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and develop strategies for process enhancement
- Drive initiatives related to process standardization, waste reduction, and productivity gains
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience management expeirnce in unionized manufacturing leadership roles with a focus on process improvement and lean manufacturing techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of produciton equipment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP, MRP, and related software tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement strategies
- Effective communication skills with the ability to manage change, challenging siuations and respond to key issues quickly
- Post secondary education in Manufacturing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Able to work weekends from time to time.

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
