Durand Health is seeking an experienced and patient-focused General Practitioner with a Special Interest or Additional Training in Dermatology to join our growing integrated healthcare team in Hamilton, Ontario.
This is a unique opportunity to practice in a modern, multidisciplinary environment that combines family medicine, preventive healthcare, corporate wellness, skin health, and advanced diagnostics under one roof. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care while supporting the clinic’s expanding dermatology and skin health services.

Durand Health is a rapidly growing integrated healthcare clinic located adjacent to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton’s prestigious Durand neighbourhood. Our collaborative team includes physicians, nurses, and more than 15 allied and paramedical professionals delivering coordinated, patient-centred care in a beautifully renovated, state-of-the-art facility.
As we continue to expand our family practice and corporate health services, we are seeking physicians interested in helping shape the future of integrated healthcare delivery. Physicians may also have the opportunity to dedicate one day per week to preventive and corporate health assessments, combining OHIP-insured and private-pay services.

Responsibilities
Corporate Health
. Participate in longevity and preventive health testing programs, including advanced biomarker analysis, cardiovascular risk assessment, metabolic health evaluation, and personalized health optimization planning.
. Coordinate further investigative measures through diagnostic testing and specialist referrals.
· Provide quality medical care to Premier Care Members
· Support corporate wellness and preventive health initiatives
· Deliver evidence-based screening, risk assessment, and lifestyle counselling
· Participate in private-pay health programs alongside OHIP-insured services
· Assist in developing personalized health optimization and chronic disease prevention plans
· Contribute to the continued growth of Durand Health’s corporate and executive health programs
Primary Care & Family Medicine
· Provide comprehensive family medicine and episodic care to patients of all ages.
· Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
· Conduct routine physical examinations, preventive screenings, and wellness assessments
· Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic investigations
· Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans
· Provide preventive care, immunizations, and chronic disease management
· Perform minor office procedures and preventive care services
· Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Dermatology-Focused Care
· Diagnose and manage common dermatologic conditions, including:
o Acne
o Eczema
o Psoriasis
o Rosacea
o Skin infections
o Pigmented lesions
· Perform minor dermatologic procedures, including:
o Cryotherapy
o Skin biopsies
o Lesion excisions
o Cosmetic injectables (optional)
· Provide skin cancer screening and preventive education
· Collaborate with external dermatology specialists as needed
Collaborative Care & Professional Development
. Work closely with physicians, nurses, preventive health providers, medical aestheticians, and allied health professionals.
· Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development.
· Contribute to the clinic’s integrated, patient-centred model of care by working closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals in a collaborative environment that values your expertise and professional growth.
Qualifications
· Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent
· Licensed or eligible for licensure with the CPSO
· Certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) or equivalent
· Additional dermatology training, focused practice, or strong clinical dermatology experience preferred
· Experience with minor skin procedures is considered an asset
· Strong communication skills and a patient-centred approach
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
