Job Title: Emergency Technician
Position Overview:The Emergency Technician plays a vital role in supporting emergency response and restoration operations. This position is responsible for assisting in the stabilization, mitigation, and recovery of properties affected by fire, flood, storm, and other emergencies. The Emergency Technician ensures a safe, efficient, and professional response while delivering exceptional service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing on-site support for property stabilization and damage mitigation.
- Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment such as water extraction units, air movers, dehumidifiers, and other restoration tools.
- Perform demolition, debris removal, and cleaning tasks as directed to prepare sites for restoration.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to protect team members, clients, and property.
- Document work performed, including photographs, job notes, and inventory tracking of equipment and materials.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean, operational condition.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients, demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
- Participate in on-call rotation and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Qualifications:
- IICRC certification; technical training or certifications in restoration/emergency services considered an asset.
- Previous experience in restoration, construction, or related field preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate hand/power tools and restoration equipment.
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs. and perform tasks in varied environmental conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced, unpredictable environments.
