Overview
Centertown Laundry Services is seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team in Ottawa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating 9-foot cargo van to deliver and pick up linens across Ottawa and surrounding areas and safely transporting Laundry to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This position offers an opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience, commercial driving skills, and a strong work ethic to contribute to our operations.
This role is ideal for motivated individuals who enjoy driving, working independently, and providing excellent service while handling physical tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment .This is a full-time position,and we are looking for someone who can fully commit to the required schedule and does not have other work commitments that may conflict with their availability.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate 9-foot cargo van for delivery routes in city and suburban areas.
- Follow route schedules and optimize delivery paths for efficiency.
- Load and unload laundry bags (up to 50lbs)
- Ensure accurate delivery of goods to customers within designated timeframes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally and addressing any delivery concerns.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
Experience
- Valid G-class driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving abstract is a MUST.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check is a MUST
- Previous delivery driver experience preferred, especially with route driving in a commercial setting is a plus.
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and time management skills
- Customer service experience is a plus.
