Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining smooth warehouse operations. Duties
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare outgoing orders by picking, packing, and staging products using order pickers, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently, adhering to safety protocols and proper lifting techniques
- Stock shelves and organize inventory within the warehouse, maintaining optimal storage practices for easy retrieval
- Utilize warehouse distribution software such as AS400 or MRP systems to track inventory levels, update records, and manage stock movements
- Operate equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks with proper certification to handle various types of loads
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy and support warehouse management system data integrity
Qualifications
- Narrow aisle and counter balance.
Unload incoming stock and non-stock materials.
Physically verify contents of incoming freight in compliance with SOX as well as company policy.
Receive all stock items using DSI scanning equipment.
Ensure that yard and warehouse are organized in a manner that maximizes efficiency, safety and customer order turnaround.
Put away all stocked products (stock stored inside and outside) in the designated warehouse spaces.
Ensure all non-stock items are delivered or picked up in a timely manner.
Record and report all variances in received goods to the receiving clerk for follow up.
Report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment and/or tools immediately to your supervisor.
Record and/or report product damage/nonconformities to your supervisor as required.
Comply with Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
Participate and contribute to effective production efficiency.
Construct packaging Skids/Gaylords
Inspect packaging.
Repack damaged products.
Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.
Skills & Abilities Required
Lift truck certification.( Double wide Counterbalance, order picker and Toyata each truck)
Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kg
