We are seeking Security Officers who reside in the Kitimat or Terrace area to join our team supporting a large-scale industrial project in Kitimat, British Columbia.
Successful applicants will play a critical role in maintaining site security, supporting access control operations, assisting with emergency response, and helping ensure the safety and security of personnel, assets, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Maintaining excellent customer service to guests, colleagues, and site workers

Access control/intrusion detection of site, waterfront and port area

Monitoring site activities, detecting suspicious occurrences and providing detailed written incident reports

Mobile and foot patrols of assigned area and recording daily activities

Processing site access requests (Visitors, Vendors, Deliveries)

Administrative duties and issuing/creating site access badges

Monitoring access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systems

Emergency response dispatch and team communications via radio
Qualifications
-
Valid BC Security License
-
Valid Intermediate First Aid or Level C CPR/AED
-
Valid full Class 5 Driver's License and acceptable Driver's Abstract

Valid Transportation Endorsement

Must be able to pass Drug and Alcohol Test (SSRG will arrange)

Must be able to pass criminal record check

Strong written and spoken English communication skills

Willingness to work both day and night shifts, indoors or outdoors as required
Additional Information

Full uniform provided including PPE. Applicants need to provide their own black, 6 inch CSA approved safety boots (boot allowance provided).

12-hour shifts, day and night, 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation

Must reside in Kitimat or Terrace area and be able to commute daily

Shuttle transit from Terrace to Kitimat site and return is available

Applicants currently not residing in the area must be willing to re-locate to be considered for the position
