Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/woman Automotive Service Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Conduct thorough diagnostics using advanced tools, schematics, and technical manuals to identify vehicle issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on a wide range of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting and working with potentially hazardous materials.
- Assist with vehicle inspections, routine maintenance services, and component replacements.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each vehicle serviced.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations.
- Ensure all work meets dealership or industry standards for quality and safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician or Mechanic; dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on vehicles in various positions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnostics and repairs.
- Customer service skills to explain repairs clearly and professionally.
- Valid mechanic certification or journeyman/woman status preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience with automotive repair, maintenance tasks, and vehicle troubleshooting is essential.
