Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated dental team. Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing procedures to maintain optimal oral health for patients.
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with efficiency and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management software.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all dental equipment is properly maintained.
Qualifications
- Valid -Nova Scotia licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
- Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software preferred. But not necessary.
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, or general dentistry is advantageous.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is highly desirable. Not necessary.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
