We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines for Gas & Electric Golf Carts .and trailer maitenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, experience with various tools, and a customer-focused approach to service. Duties
- Diagnose and repair small engines ( Golf Carts) and trailer repair.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, and part replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs effectively
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting on small engines and related components
- Assist customers with technical questions and provide excellent customer service
- Work with heavy lifting when handling engine parts or equipment during repairs
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area at all times
- Keep detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each job
- Collaborate with sales staff to recommend appropriate repairs or upgrades for customer needs
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with small engines or automotive repair preferred
- Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and mechanical components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with sales or providing product recommendations is advantageous
- Automotive repair or mechanic background highly desirable
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
