Overview
Daiva RV Resorts is seeking a motivated and hands-on Resort Manager for our Ottawa East RV Resort, located in Alfred Ontario, to serve as the on-site leadership team for one of our resort properties. You will oversee all aspects of resort operations, including guest services, staff leadership, facility maintenance, recreation programming, financial performance, safety compliance, and community engagement.
This role is ideal for 1 or 2 people who enjoy hospitality, property operations, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Lead the day-to-day operations of Ottawa East resort, ensuring all departments function efficiently and deliver a high-quality guest experience. Oversee front desk operations, housekeeping, recreation programs, vendor coordination, and operational procedures while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Guest Experience & Community Engagement: Create a welcoming and memorable environment for guests by providing exceptional customer service and promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback. Support social committees, recreation programs, events, and activities that encourage guest satisfaction, community involvement, and return visits.
- Facility & Property Management: Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the resort. Monitor resort infrastructure including pools, water systems, septic systems, hydro services, grounds, amenities, and accommodations while coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance programs.
- Team Leadership & Staff Development: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise resort staff and volunteers. Foster a positive workplace culture through coaching, performance management, accountability, and ongoing staff development while ensuring compliance with company policies and service standards.
- Financial & Business Performance: Support the financial success of the resort by monitoring revenue, expenses, occupancy levels, and operational costs. Work closely with company leadership to identify growth opportunities, improve profitability, develop promotional initiatives, and support budgeting objectives.
- Safety, Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Implement safety procedures, conduct regular inspections, respond to incidents, and promote a safe environment for guests, employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Marketing & Resort Promotion: Partner with the Marketing and Sales teams to support advertising campaigns, social media initiatives, special events, promotions, and seasonal offerings. Act as ambassadors for the resort by building positive relationships with guests, prospective customers, and the surrounding community.
- Administration & Reporting: Maintain accurate operational, financial, staffing, maintenance, and guest records. Prepare reports, monitor key performance indicators, document incidents and inspections, and provide regular updates to company leadership regarding resort performance and operational priorities.
Qualifications
- Experience in hospitality, resort, campground, RV resort, property management, customer service, maintenance, operations, or related fields preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of RV resort operations and maintenance practices is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and operational software is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a management team and adapt to a dynamic resort environment.

Position Expectations
The Resort Manager will reside on-site at Ottawa East (where accommodations are provided) and serve as the primary point of leadership for the resort. The Resort Manager must work collaboratively, provide operational coverage during evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak periods as required, and take responsibility for emergencies, guest concerns, and resort operations.
This role requires flexibility, teamwork, professionalism, and a hands-on approach to ensuring the continued success, growth, and reputation of the resort.
Housing, compensation, vacation scheduling, and additional employment terms will be outlined separately in the employment agreement.
Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
