Join a pharmacy that combines innovative patient care with a
modernized compensation model to match!
We have an open position, and we will be starting the successful candidate soon. We do have several areas our store specializes in, so over time, there is potential to have an increased focus in some specific branches of the pharmacy, but our most immediate need is to have a strong, experienced assistant that we can slot into the main dispensary to help us manage our increasing script count there. We need someone that is well-versed in Kroll, thoroughly understands insurance plans and their nuances, can place and receive McKesson orders and returns, and interacts well with customers to deliver quality service. That's why we aren't just looking to hire a pharmacy assistant, but a SUPERSTAR Pharmacy Assistant!!!
In addition to helping fill prescriptions and address unique patient needs with an extended home health care section, you will have an opportunity to assist pharmacists in their delivery of CACPs, SMMAs, injections, and additional prescribing in an environment that provides you the time you need along with the compensation you deserve. We are also a compounding pharmacy with a repackaging license, and provide compounds for local patients as well as to pharmacies across the province. Past compounding experience in a full lab would be a significant asset.
This isn’t just about fitting more into your work day –
it’s about changing the pharmacy model completely!
If you’re a self-motivated pharmacy assistant interested in making a real difference to patients and the future of pharmacy, this is the place for you!
Candidate’s drive, vision for pharmacy, past experience with Kroll, and ability to garner positive relationships with patients and other healthcare providers will be considered first and foremost. Other valuable assets include compression fitting certification, experience and interest in specialty compounding, past experience with helping patients fit/choose braces and specialty wound care items, and/or specialization in a specific area. Strong knowledge of Kroll & adjudicating insurance plans, as well as extensive past work experience in a pharmacy, is a must.
Position will be approximately 32-40 hours per week. Some nights and weekend shifts.
