Join our team as our newest Forklift Operator (all shifts, all locations).
Position Summary:
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to safely move, load, store, and track materials throughout the manufacturing facility, supporting production and inventory control operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move raw materials, WIP, and finished goods between production areas, storage, and shipping docks.
- Conduct routine inspection of forklift equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning.
- Once internally certified, operator must always have license/certification badge in possession while driving GMG lift trucks/forklifts.
- Perform all duties in direct compliance of Companies health and safety policy and all applicable OHSA standards.
- Wear all proper personal protective equipment (PPE) while driving lift trucks and changing propane tanks.
- Ensure machines always have required materials.
- Follow work instructions as required.
- Maintain good housekeeping and organization at all times (5S).
- Participate actively in Continuous Improvement (CI) activities.
- Report all concerns regarding safety, quality, or productivity.
Qualifications:
- Current or prior forklift certification (2 -3 years of experience forklift driving in an automotive setting is an asset).
- Proven experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Experienced with and comfortable driving in confined spaces.
- Capable of completing in-house GMG lift truck training successfully.
- Conscientious of your surroundings at all times to maintain a safe environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
