Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Fabricator to oversee and participate in the fabrication process within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong fabrication skills, expertise in various stone/solid surface materials, including Granite, Marble, Quartz, Porcelain, Corian as well as the ability to lead a team effectively. This role is critical in ensuring high-quality production standards and efficient workflow, utilizing advanced fabrication equipment and tools.
Duties
- Lead and coordinate fabrication activities
- Operate forklift safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise fabrication.
- Perform fabrication operations using hand tools, and other devices to maintain quality standards.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the fabrication process to verify adherence to specifications and quality.
- Assemble fabricated components accurately according to design requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Train and mentor team members on proper fabrication techniques and safety procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication with hands-on expertise in cutting, grinding and assembly processes.
- Strong knowledge with familiarity in blueprint reading and interpreting millwork drawings.
- Proficiency with hand tools, and quality inspection is essential.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and dimensions.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a fabrication setting is highly desirable.
