We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional patient experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using the clinic's electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Register new patients and verify demographic and health card information.
- Process referrals, requisitions, and incoming medical documents.
- Scan, upload, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Collect payments and reconcile daily transactions when required.
- Support physicians, nurses, and other team members with administrative tasks.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with PHIA and clinic policies.
- Ensure the reception and waiting areas remain organized and welcoming.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Medical Office Administration diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office is an asset.
- Experience using an EMR (Med Access experience is considered an asset).
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
