Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Red Seal Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery, industrial equipment, and automotive systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with various tools and equipment, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including dealership repairs, farm machinery, construction equipment, HVAC systems, and more. Candidates with experience in electrical systems, schematics interpretation, welding, and heavy equipment operation are highly preferred. This is a paid position that requires dedication to quality workmanship and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery
- Conduct routine maintenance and preventative inspections on various mechanical systems
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals for complex mechanical and electrical systems
- Repair or replace components including engines, hydraulics, electrical wiring, and control systems
- Operate heavy machinery safely during maintenance or repair procedures
- Assist with assembly of new equipment or parts as needed
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and professionally
Requirements
- Valid Red Seal certification as a mechanic or equivalent certification in heavy-duty or automotive repair
- Proven experience working with dealership vehicles, farm machinery, HVAC systems, or industrial equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components
- Hands-on experience with schematics interpretation and troubleshooting complex systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy machinery when required
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction and documentation purposes

Pay: $23.62-$48.91 per hour
