Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This role requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. The LPN will play a vital role in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and well-being while adhering to all healthcare regulations and standards.
Duties
- Monitor the patient’s vital signs and observe for any changes in condition
- Assist with patient assessments and document findings in electronic health records, OSCAR PRO
- Assist with wound care, suture removal, injections, and cryotherapy.
- Collaborate with the physician to develop and implement care plans
- Perform phlebotomy procedures and laboratory specimen collection when necessary
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and medication regimens
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety procedures
- Document all patient interactions accurately and thoroughly in medical records, OSCAR PRO.
- Able to review lab results with the patient under the supervision of the physician.
Experience
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice
- Prior experience in nursing home, hospital, acute care, dementia care, pediatrics, home care, senior care, hospice care, or assisted living environments preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols
- Experience with electronic health record system, OSCAR PRO preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including children and seniors
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
