We are working with a North American precious metals exploration company focused on advancing district-scale gold assets within one of the most prolific mining regions globally - the Timmins Gold District (Abitibi Greenstone Belt).
The organization is actively progressing a pipeline of greenfield to advanced-stage exploration targets, with a strong emphasis on discovery-driven exploration and resource development.
This is a high-impact leadership role where the selected individual will play a key part in shaping and executing exploration strategy at a district level.
Role Overview
The Exploration Manager will lead and oversee end-to-end exploration programs, from early-stage targeting through drilling, data integration, and reporting.
This role requires a hands-on technical leader with strong experience in orogenic gold systems and greenstone belt environments, along with the ability to manage field teams and drive exploration success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all phases of exploration programs, including planning, permitting, execution, and reporting
Oversee and coordinate drilling campaigns, geological mapping, and sampling programs
Interpret and integrate geological, geophysical, geochemical, and drilling data to support exploration targeting
Identify, prioritize, and advance exploration targets aligned with company strategy
Manage field teams, contractors, and ensure efficient program execution
Maintain and oversee geological databases and 3D modeling workflows
Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental standards, and collaboration with local/Indigenous stakeholders
Contribute to technical reports, internal planning, and exploration updates
Required Qualifications
10+ years of mineral exploration experience, including leadership responsibilities
Strong background in Precambrian greenstone belts (Abitibi experience highly preferred)
Proven experience in orogenic gold systems and discovery-driven exploration
Hands-on experience managing drilling and field exploration programs
Strong skills in geological mapping, structural interpretation, and data integration
Experience working in remote/field-based environments
