Future Star Soccer Academy is seeking motivated, reliable, and passionate Youth Soccer Coaches to join our growing academy. We offer both part-time and full-time opportunities for coaches who are committed to youth development and long-term player growth.
Position Type
- Part-time and Full-time
- Evening and weekend availability required
- Year-round programs (indoor & outdoor)
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging training sessions
- Coach youth players in practices, games, and tournaments
- Support player development in technical skills, tactical understanding, confidence, and sportsmanship
- Manage teams independently during training sessions and matches
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and academy staff
- Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive training environment
- Follow academy curriculum, coaching philosophy, and seasonal objectives
- Attend occasional staff meetings, evaluations, and development workshops
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Must live in the Waterloo Region
- Ability to coach in Cambridge and the surrounding areas
- Strong soccer coaching knowledge and understanding of youth development
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Comfortable managing groups of children and youth
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred / Additional Assets
- Previous experience coaching youth soccer (academy, club, school, or grassroots level)
- Coaching certifications (CAC, NCCP, or equivalent)
- First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with futsal and/or competitive tournament play
- Passion for long-term athlete development

Compensation
- $18 – $30 per hour
- Rate based on experience, qualifications, and role
- Paid hourly for games and training sessions
- Opportunities for increased hours and advancement within the academy
